Senior Accountant Darien, CT (OnSite 4x per week) Full Time This role will be reporting into our Assistant Controller who oversees Corporate Finance and will be responsible for:
Maintaining the general legers for the Company's 4 corporate subsidiaries including preparing the monthly closing entries for each entity and managing the underlying books and records.
Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages on a timely basis for the Company's corporate subsidiaries.
Overseeing the annual statutory audits for our corporate subsidiaries and interacting directly with our third-party auditors.
Preparing monthly out of pocket reimbursement reports in both local currency and USD.
Independently managing the Corporate Client expense reporting process for company employees and employee out of pocket requests submitted via Concur.
Holding trainings on our expense allocation policy for the Firm's employees.
Oversees and supervises accounts payable accountant including the entire accounts payable cycle.
Performing a daily reconciliation of all bank accounts to the bank statement and reconciling to the general ledger.
Overseeing the annual 1099-reporting process with our third-party service provider.
Calculating monthly sales & use tax owed by PALLC.
Researching and analyzing expense variances.
Demonstrating critical thinking and the ability to solve challenging, complex issues in a collaborative environment.
Participating in Ad-hoc projects.
Minimum requirements for the Senior Accountant position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a finance function.
Ability to work under pressure, question the norm, and meet required deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with and for a variety of colleagues with demonstrated success working in a team environment.
Visible desire to learn and grow.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with SAP Concur (expense reporting).
Advanced Excel Skills.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Allvue).
